A good, small-bore, flintlock to percussion conversion of an unsigned Germanic antique firearm travelling pistol that was made around 1800.
The .44 caliber, octagonal, rear and front sighted barrel measures 8 ½ inches with the whole pistol measuring just under 14 inches.
The hammer is engraved while the unsigned flat lock is engraved along the edges. The lock also features a set trigger mechanism which suggests that this pistol was once one of cased pair.
The action is in good working order.
The brass furniture with spur trigger guard is in good condition.
The full-length stock featuring, checked grip, a horn muzzle cap and bird’s head grip is in a solid used condition with the expected handling marks.
A good honest pistol in an as found and uncleaned condition.
