Handmade remembrance art on saw blades

$130

These handmade remembrance saw blade artworks are created from reclaimed saw blades and painted in honour of the maker’s grandfather, VX23719 J.W. Elliott, who was killed in Rabaul, New Guinea in 1942 after answering the call to serve in his late thirties, leaving behind his wife and five children.

Each bush saw, round or half blade, and handsaw carries his ‘In Memory Of’ inscription on the back, keeping his story and service alive through every piece.

The maker also donates approximately 20 remembrance saws to RSLs each year. Due to the size and nature of these pieces, pickup or transport is to be arranged by the purchaser.
