The Sydney Antique and Collectables Show returns to the Hawkesbury Showground, Clarendon, on 14th and 15th August. Run by collectors for collectors, the show has earned its reputation as one of Australia’s most distinctive events of its kind, offering a format rarely found anywhere else: a unique combination of a Historical Exhibition and a traditional Collectables Fair under one roof.
At the heart of the show is the Historical Exhibition, featuring over 100 different categories of collectables drawn entirely from private collections. Many of these items are rarely, if ever, seen in public, giving visitors an extraordinary opportunity to view and buy rare and unique pieces from Australia’s history. From colonial artefacts and early Australiana through to vintage advertising, militaria, coins, stamps, toys, ceramics, glassware and beyond, the breadth of the exhibition rewards both the seasoned collector and the curious first-time visitor.
Alongside the exhibition, the Collectables Fair brings together dealers and private sellers offering thousands of antiques and collectables for sale. Whether you are hunting for a specific piece to complete a collection, looking for a meaningful gift, or simply enjoy the thrill of discovering something unexpected, there is genuine treasure to be found at every table.
Visitors are also encouraged to bring along their own items for appraisal. If you have inherited pieces gathering dust, or have always wondered what that item in the back of the cupboard might be worth, the show is the perfect opportunity to find out from people who know.
The show proudly supports local Lions Clubs in Western Sydney, so every visit helps put something back into the community.
Our venue, the Hawkesbury Showground, is situated in Sydney’s North-West, easily accessible via the M7 Freeway and outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Nearby is the historic Windsor District, one of Australia’s oldest European settlements, making the location a fitting backdrop for an event celebrating our nation’s history. There is ample free parking on site, and the Showground is a short distance from Clarendon Station for those travelling by train.
The Sydney Antique and Collectables Show is held every two years, making each show a genuine occasion on the collecting calendar. Opening times are Saturday 8:30-5:00pm and Sunday 9am – 2pm, with admission of $10 at the door.
Whether you are a lifelong collector, a history enthusiast, or a family looking for a fascinating day out, we look forward to welcoming you to the Hawkesbury Showground.
