Vintage circa 1950s assorted feather hat restoration lot. This collection includes two feather hat pieces in need of repair, ideal for restoration, millinery study, display, costume work, or creative reuse.
The main piece shown on the mannequin appears to be made from a mix of swan and duck feathers and would have been quite spectacular in its day. The original glue has deteriorated, causing many of the feathers to come loose.
The second piece, not shown on the mannequin, appears to include a mix of swan or duck feathers with dyed peacock feather sections. Both pieces are sold as restoration projects and should be considered fragile due to age and condition.
Also included are the loose feathers that have fallen from the pieces, along with a few extra feathers collected over time. A beautiful old feather millinery lot for someone with the patience and skill to restore, repurpose, or preserve it.
They are sold as is and intended to be used in a restoration or upcycling project. This is in keeping with the ethos of the 3Rs – Recycled, Remade, Reloved and keep them out of landfill.
These cannot be sent outside of Australia due to quarantine restrictions.
