Measuring 23cm diam, this large 19th century brass safe plate is for Cyrus Price & Co of Wolverhampton in the UK. The firm first exhibited its wares – fire-resisting safes and patent locks – at the International Exhibition held in London in 1862, where it was awarded the prize medal for new and special improvements.
