French joined fruitwood armchair with panelled sides and back, on a base with shaped splats, the scroll-shaped crest carved with a central flowerhead and two flanking ‘daisy’ flowers, flanking a reserve with the date ‘1778’ carved into it, the whole with a honey-toned patination.
