American sterling silver set of 12 cups

$3,600

An elegant set of 12 antique American sterling silver cups, with the early stylised hammer mark and initials of Julius Olaf Randahl, the numbers 7 12, as well as a stamped mark for sterling silver.

Julius Olaf Randahl, a Swedish silversmith who worked at The Kalo Shop making fine Arts & Crafts silver, later had his own storefront until 1965. He was an important figure in the Chicago Arts & Crafts movement and these cups are an elegant nod to the practicalities of fine dining. These would be lovely for liqueur, schnapps or mint juleps.

Each cup is monogrammed ‘GPM’ to the front.

8.5cm high.

Each cup is approx 60ms, for a total weight of approximately 720gms.

Very good antique condition overall; several cups have minor dings commensurate with use and age.
