Pair of authentic French Art Deco seal bookends c.1930, finely modelled in cold-painted spelter with a soft aged patina.
Each seal figure is poised upright with sleek stylised form typical of the Art Deco era, mounted on solid Portoro marble bases featuring rich black veining with striking gold inclusions. Elegant and substantial, they serve equally well as decorative sculptures or functional book supports.
Dimensions each: 10 cm high, 11 cm long, 8 cm deep. Excellent condition with age-related wear to the metal consistent with period.
