McCredie was an Australian architect and potter, with the distinction of being one of the earliest women to graduate with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Sydney in 1923.
She switched from architecture to ceramics in 1929 and studied under LJ Harvey in Brisbane before establishing her own pottery in Epping in Sydney.
