This is a very large Carlton Ware green Apple Blossom embossed jug (it has slight crazing). It measures 37cm high x 17cm wide.
This was part of the Salad Ware range produced by Carlton Ware. Today, this range is commonly divided into Floral Embossed and Fruit Embossed wares. At the pottery it was known as Salad Ware primarily because the first of these ranges was the very popular Lettuce and Tomato version, which remained in production for more than fifty years.
