Remarkable fine quality English Coalport porcelain inkwell, modelled as a ‘basket of flowers’, the body constructed from ‘canes’ of clay woven as a basket would be, the life-like flowers all carefully applied and coloured with the two larger central blooms opening to reveal the inkwells, c.1835.
Condition: Unbelievably in almost mint condition with only miniscule signs of age, some very small losses to edges of petals, no restoration – has been in a cabinet all of its life!
