In good condition, this flintlock pocket pistol is probably of European origin. Made in the typical English Georgian style but lacking proofs, maker’s name or English embellishments.
The .40 calibre, round, screw off, smooth bore barrel measures 1 ½ inches with the whole pistol measuring 6 ¼ inches.
The brass, box lock frame has clear rudimentary engravings and the action is in good working order
The slightly rounded, walnut grip show signs of use. The wood to metal fit not only excellent but far superior to most pocket flintlocks on the market.
