Exquisite Art Nouveau ruby, diamond and pearl pendant brooch

$6,400

Art Nouveau jewellery often has such an elegant flowing design, and this can be seen here is this gorgeous antique pendant that can easily be converted to be worn as a brooch.

Made in 18 carat yellow gold in France in the late 1800s, this pendant is set with one 0.35 carat oval ruby in the centre with three square cut rubies and one more at the bottom. These additional rubies total 0.16 carats, and all have such a lovely fine red colour to them.

Set with a 0.06 carat single cut diamond, there is a natural pearl suspended from the bottom to complete this piece perfectly.

Measuring 41.4mm wide by 58mm to the very top, this top section of chain can easily be removed to then wear it as a brooch without it being in the way. And equally, the brooch fitting is removable also allowing it not to hinder the look and the way it sits against the chest when it is worn as a pendant.

This is such a wonderful piece of jewellery, that is as beautiful and elegant as it is versatile.
