Decorated in Moorcroft’s renowned tube-lined technique, the vase displays elegant sprays of native eucalyptus leaves and gum nuts in rich shades of blue-green, olive and soft brown against a delicately graduated pale ground. The raised slip decoration and vibrant hand-applied glazes create remarkable depth and texture, highlighting the exceptional craftsmanship for which Moorcroft is internationally renowned.
Inspired by Australia’s iconic Blue Gum tree, the design beautifully captures the graceful foliage and distinctive gum nuts, making this one of Moorcroft’s most desirable Australian commemorative editions.
The base bears the impressed Moorcroft and Made in England marks together with the commemorative E. A. Joyce & Son backstamp, shape number 893, the 1993 date mark, decorator’s initials WM, and edition number 452 from a strictly limited edition of only 500 pieces.
