This pair of Spode Art Deco bookends with a creamy matt glaze were part of the new Velamour range introduced in 1932.
Pieces in the Velamour range were marked with a specific printed backstamp.
Bookends: 18cm high x 10.8cm wide
While the ivory coloured Velamour was matt in the UK, similar decorative pieces in the range were made with a shiny glaze and marketed as Imperial Fancies for the US.
