Here is a museum quality Tongan/Fijian head rest (Kali ni bitu). The bamboo is raised on legs that have been meticulously lashed through holes in the bamboo platform using braided coconut fibre (sennit) cord. It has decorations carved on it.
It is probably pre-1925.
