Made by the British United Clock Co, this Victorian gilt brass clock is in the form of a cyclist and his bike. It has the Design registration mark RD214025 for 1893/94. In good condition with its original movement, it is unfortunately not working.
The British United Clock Company was formed in 1885 by Edward Davies, who was formerly Superintendent of works for Ansonia in the USA. He set up a factory in Birmingham, England and the company closed in 1909.
