On September 23 you’ll have the chance to bid at a single vendor auction of muscle cars from both Australia and America, when a collection of 17 cars comes up for auction. “They are absolute top quality classic and collectable motor vehicles of museum quality,” says Burns & Co director Ashley Burns, “in absolute best condition with many showing very, very low mileage.”
Singled out a couple that are sure to have high interest. These include the 1987 Holden HSV VL Walkinshaw, all original, matching numbers, with books and just over 7,000 kms showing. Then there’s the 1969 BOSS Ford Mustang, matching numbers, that has undergone a high-end restoration with only 52,000 miles showing. There’s also a 1968 Shelby Ford Mustang GT500KR, matching numbers and just 52,000 miles showing, and a 1966 Ford Shelby GT350 Fastback Manual in concourse condition – it was awarded Gold in the 2013 Mustang Club of Australia Concours – with just over 61,000 miles on the clock. The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, which is decked out in Lemans Blue with white stripes and has a houndstooth interior and 42,400 miles on the clock, is being sold with the original owner’s manual.
“The vendor has extremely good taste in vehicles, as can be seen by the phenomenal line up in this auction,” says Burns. “They have targeted and acquired these vehicles from areas far and wide. To have here on offer to the public so many rare, high quality, desirable vehicles from one vendor is something we may not see again for some time.”
